Mossley Preschool
Mossley Preschool is a local community preschool with a 40 year history that offers Early Years Education to children aged 2 ½ to 4 years.
Our Preschool is a non-profit making registered Charity (no 1036773) that is affiliated to the Preschool Learning Alliance and follows the Preschool Learning Alliance Constitution 2011.
Our objectives are to offer a safe, caring and stimulating environment to all our Preschool children in which their Intellectual, Language, Emotional, Social and Physical development is encouraged through play.
We are at our heart a community Preschool providing high quality care, facilities and increasingly flexible arrangements.
We aim to provide strong links with the local primary school especially now we are on site to allow a smooth transition for both children and the school in preparation for their reception year at “big school”.
Your team
The pre-school currently has 8 staff members who work directly with the children and all are qualified to various levels. All members of staff are DBS checked to comply with Ofsted requirements and have been involved with the pre-school for many years. They are all committed to the pre-school and are enthusiastic about their role.
We maintain the ratio of adults to children in the pre-school that is set through the Ofsted requirements to:
• Give time and attention to each child;
• Talk with the children about their interests and activities;
• Help children to experience and benefit from the activities we provide; and
• Allow the children to explore and be adventurous in play
